The Fall 2005 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The eighth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (180) and series (484) for the women. As for the men, David Parre snagged this week's high game with a 248, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 573. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Tatonka shared a platter of cheese sticks with Derka, Derka. Topped by Will Jeter with his below-average 446 series, Tatonka collected 3 wins against Derka, Derka. Concurrently, Thomas Lin oversaw Derka, Derka with his 498 despite his team notching only a single win. Tatonka remains in 1st place, while Derka, Derka sinks 1 spot to 3rd.
On lanes 23 & 24: Same Belt, New Notch celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with The Big LeBowlskies. Headlined by Carl Goetz with his above-average 573 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against The Big LeBowlskies. Across the ball return, Dennis Laube drew the spotlight in The Big LeBowlskies with his 525 despite his team notching only a single win. Same Belt, New Notch leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while The Big LeBowlskies sink 1 spot to 5th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Bora Bora! traded lane malfunctions with Three Men and a Babe. With top billing by Freda Schroeder with her above-average 484 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , Bora Bora! split the series with Three Men and a Babe. On the flipside, #1 Power-Ranked David Parre mastered Three Men and a Babe with his fantastic 570 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bora Bora! leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Three Men and a Babe remains in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Harry Potter and the Magic Balls kept grabbing the balls of Munson'd. Blessed by Joel Henning with his above-average 372 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Kathryn Holt, Harry Potter split the series with Munson'd. Countering this, Mark Belles reigned supreme in Munson'd with his 377 as they matched their opponent in wins. Harry Potter and the Magic Balls remains in 7th place, while Munson'd remains in 8th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by David Parre (248, previous best 246). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by David Parre (570, previous best 549) and Brad Zollars (475, previous best 468).
The 248 rolled by David Parre is tied for the 8th-best game in league history!
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson walloped Division 1, while Scott Murdock conquered Division 2. Brad Zollars staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 3, and Andrea DeLong whipped Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson holds the reins in Division 1; Seth Gunderson and Scott Murdock dominate Division 2 in a tie; Phil Schroeder governs Division 3; and Andrea DeLong calls the shots Division 4.
