Spring 2005 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (225) and series (560) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson drew the spotlight in 4 Play with his above-average 599 as they matched their opponent in wins. Sub Parre remains in 3rd place, while 4 Play sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

week11On lanes 21 & 22: Nellielocks and the 3 Spares chucked gutter balls with The Incredibowls. With top billing by #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Rich DeYoung and his dazzling 559 series, Nellielocks celebrated a clean sweep over The Incredibowls. Countering this, Carl Goetz called the shots for The Incredibowls with his 543 despite his team getting swept. Across the ball return, Jason Carpio took the lead in the Galactica with his below-average 468 despite his team notching only a single win. In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Rich DeYoung routed Division 1, while Andy Metzler trounced Division 2. David Parre topped Division 3, and Aaron Hoyt triumphed over his enemies in Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz leads Division 1; Michael Basham governs Division 2; Freda Schroeder tops Division 3; and Amanda Schulte is in the driver's seat in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place All Belt, No Buckle will hang out with 5th-place Handicrappers (hcp 111). The Belt is expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Handicrappers are forecast to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 8th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 42) will match wits with 7th-place Bowlingstar Galactica. Pin Pin might perform well and sweep the series; while the Galactica ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Sub Parre (hcp 87) will chuck some balls with 4th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Sub Parre will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Nellielocks will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place 4 Play (hcp 8) will battle 6th-place The Incredibowls. 4 Play is predicted to maintain their current strength as they just barely miss getting swept; while The Incredibowls are anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
