The Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack shared a few beers with Guttersluts. Highlighting the skills of Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. Simultaneously, Kris Hiestand took the lead in the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack gets underway in 4th place, while the Guttersluts get rolling in 9th.
On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah had some one-on-one time with All Belts Are Off. Although topped by Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. Conversely, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding ruled the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah begins with 6th place, while the Belt begins in 2nd.
On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins had a delightful time with TBD. Starring Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. In the meantime, David Parre shined in TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins starts out in 1st place, while TBD commences the season with 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl faced off against Bowlkake2. While headlined by Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. On the other side, Thomas Lin showed off in Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl leaves the gate in 7th place, while Bowlkake2 starts off with 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter did battle with Split Happens. Despite being led by Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. Meanwhile, Nick Allegri reigned supreme in Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.
