The Fall 2009 season draws to a close, with Sweep The Leg, Johnny officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar picked up this week's high game (172) and series (474) for the women, while Ryan Doll earned this week's high game (225) and series (623) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Sweep The Leg, Johnny spent some quality time with Quick Release. Notwithstanding the leadership of Ken M. Wilson with his 605 series, Sweep The Leg accomplished only 1 win against Quick Release. Meanwhile, #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll reigned supreme in Quick Release with his above-average 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sweep The Leg, Johnny end in 1st place, while Quick Release sinks 1 spot to end up with 3rd.
On lanes 21 & 22: No Pinheads faced off against Ebowla. With top billing by Phil Schroeder with his 528 series, No Pinheads celebrated a clean sweep over Ebowla. Simultaneously, Jason Carpio guided Ebowla with his 545 despite his team getting swept. No Pinheads leap 1 spot in the standings to close out in 2nd place, while Ebowla plunges 2 spots to go home with 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Rollin' J's alternated splits with BOWLSH!T. Starring Jerry Krall with his above-average 432 series, Rollin' J's collected 3 wins against BOWLSH!T. On the other side, Travis Kleiner called the shots for BOWLSH!T with his 461 despite his team notching only a single win. Rollin' J's leap 1 spot in the standings to finish in 4th place, while BOWLSH!T sinks 1 spot to wind up in 7th.
On lanes 25 & 26: BILFs couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of WWJB. Featuring Scott Murdock with his below-average 455 series, BILFs collected 3 wins against WWJB. While that was going down, Rich Foster ruled WWJB with his above-average 459 despite his team notching only a single win. BILFs leap 2 spots in the standings to complete in 5th place, while WWJB come out in 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Chicks With Balls alternated between bowling and dry humping Split Happens. Reinforced by #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Janelle (Laube) Lamar and her dazzling 474 series, the Chicks celebrated a clean sweep over Split Happens. . With Split Happens forfeiting, all the Chicks needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. Chicks With Balls 9th place, while Split Happens 10th.
Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: David Codding (200,206), Jason Carpio (210), Ken M. Wilson (216,213), and Ryan Doll (202,225)
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Ryan Doll (Division 1),
with Ken Wilson (Division 1) landing in second place. Ryan will pocket the nice first-place pot,
while Ken will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
