Welcome to the Fall 2025 bowling season! We start bowling on August 19, same location and same time as usual. You can submit roster changes until Monday, August 18 and team names until noon Tuesday, August 19.
With two small adjustments, so far it seems that this season is almost an exact copy of the previous season. All teams so far seem to be coming back largely the name. The team numbers have been re-randomized, however, to mix up the schedule. Here are the teams as they are currently known, this list will be updated as changes are sent between now and the start of bowling:
- (Former Gutterly Hopeless): Chris Lenz, Jeremy Varnell, Jacob Holst, JoAnne Barber
- (Former Team Name Loading): Jim Koger, Tim Deddens, Scott Murdock, AJ Hofmann
- Bowls Deep: Brian Schaben, Carl Mueller, Chris Hagan, Kurt Fredrickson, Mike Fitzgerald (rotating team of 5)
- (Former FILPB): Buck Nasty, Seth Gunderson, Nick Kinney, Ian Estey
- FFK (presumed): Nathan Burrows , Cat Atwood, Scott Lawson, Dustin Schmeltz
- Squid Row: Chris Windham, Ben Spencer, Dennis Walling, Matthew Taylor, Scott Thompson (rotating team of 5)
Fees are $285 per person if paid throughout the season, or $245 if paid in advance. For those of you on rotating teams of 5 — what we need from you is the equivalent payment of four bowlers since only 4 of you can bowl at a time. So $228 if you pay throughout the season, or $196 if you pay in advance. FOR EITHER TEAM SIZE, the deadline to get the pre-pay discount is Week 3. Send your payments via Venmo to @scooterjm and if you are asked to enter the last 4 digits of a telephone number, use 4466. Or scan the QR code shown here.
If you choose not to pre-pay, please stay on top of making payments so you don't have a big bill at the end of the season.
Things to watch for this season:
- BIG CHANGE in the Tournament of Champions: Every 4th week of the Tournament will be an interdivisional round -- meaning that instead of bowling the same boring people as always you will bowl against people from every division -- groups arranged based on how many tournament points each person has earned. This should allow three opportunities to shake up point totals while also breaking up the monotony.
- Seth Gunderson should move into 3rd place for highest accumulated lifetime pin count sometime around week 9.
- We will NOT be bowling on Tuesday, November 4, as St. John's is hosting an election watch party for one of its members who is up for re-election.
- Scoot will be absent November 18 and November 25 (weeks 13 & 14), so it's likely we will not have the TV scoreboards those weeks. Just the iPads.
We hope you all have a great time this season!
