Week 16 RoboHeaderThe Spring 2025 season draws to a close, with FILPB officially earning this season's championship title! But we aren't quite finished yet -- next week we will meet at our usual time to name all the award winners and hand out prize money, followed by 9-pin-tap fun night. The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (145) and series (422) for the women. As for the men, Ben Spencer snagged this week's high game with a 212, and high series was earned by Nick Kinney with a 568. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: In a juxtaposition of two close team averages, FFK had a delightful time with Bowls Deep. Showcasing #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Scott Lawson and his above-average 501 series, Kittens collected a clean sweep over DEEEEEEP. Simultaneously, Ian Estey with his slightly-off 498 series showed off for DEEEEEEP despite his team getting swept. FFK finalize their efforts in 5th place, while DEEEEEEP settle for 6th.

week16On lanes 3 & 4: FILPB had some one-on-one time with . Featuring #1 Head-to-Head Nick Kinney and his above-average 568 series, Eff It loaded up with a clean sweep over Team Name Loading. In the midst of this, Scott Murdock with his 476 series took charge of Team Name Loading despite his team getting swept. FILPB end in 1st place, while Team Name Loading sinks 1 spot to terminate their season in 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: With the scales heavily tipped in one team's favor from the outset, the dreadful Squid Row drew pistols at dawn with the long-shots Gutterly Hopeless. With the strength of Ben Spencer with his above-average 555 series, Squid collected 3 wins against Hopeless. Conversely, JoAnne Barber with her better-than-normal 422 series mastered Hopeless despite her team notching only a single win. Squid Row climbs 1 spot in the standings to complete in 2nd place, while Hopeless end up with 4th.

Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Ben Spencer (212) and Nick Kinney (209)

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Scott Lawson (Division 2), with Buck Nasty (Division 3) landing in second place. Scott will pocket the nice first-place pot, while Buck will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!

Though tonight was the last night that counts, we still have one more week to go! Next week begins with a buffet and a league meeting led by FILPB, where awards winners will be announced and prize money handed out. Everybody gets cash! The meeting will begin as soon as everyone is done eating. After that, 9-pin tap bowling just for fun! (Knocking down 9 pins on the first ball counts as a strike.)
