Spring 2010 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Spring 2010 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (530) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (256) and series (616) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Lil' Devils kept grabbing the balls of No Pinheads. Starring Most Valuable Bowler Janelle (Laube) Lamar and her splendid 500 series, Lil' Devils celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. Conversely, Freda Schroeder drew the spotlight in the Pinheads with her 494 despite her team getting swept. Lil' Devils leap 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while the Pinheads plunge 2 spots to 6th.

week11On lanes 27 & 28: 3 Pin Moon couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Despite the strength of Rob Kaszuba with his 475 series, 3 Pin Moon got swept by the Urban Achievers. In the midst of this, Jim Flath guided the Urban Achievers with his above-average 436 as they swept the competition. 3 Pin Moon remains in 3rd place, while the Urban Achievers remain in 8th.

On lanes 29 & 30: Empire Strikes Back shared a platter of cheese sticks with The Prak Attack. Headlined by Ken M. Wilson with his above-average 616 series, the Empire split the series with the Attack. Across the ball return, Joe Longstreet commanded the Attack with his commanding 429 as they matched their opponent in wins. Empire Strikes Back remains in 2nd place, while the Attack remains in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Bowlumpkin accepted a challenge by Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Although blessed by Jason Carpio with his above-average 574 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Janelle Laube, Bowlumpkin accomplished only 1 win against the Schlitz. While that was going down, Scott Murdock called the shots for the Schlitz with his above-average 538 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlumpkin remains in 5th place, while the Schlitz remains in 1st.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (204), Carl Goetz (209,215), Jason Carpio (230), Ken M. Wilson (256), Orion Kinkaid (202), and Rob Kaszuba (208)

A new personal high game was set tonight by AJ Taylor (190, previous best 178). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Orion Kinkaid (518, previous best 505).

Adding to the excitement, the 256 rolled by Ken M. Wilson is this season's new high game for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson crushed Division 1, while Chris Lewis made quick work of Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar dominated Division 3, and Orion Kinkaid decimated Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson tops Division 1; Brett Schroeder reigns over Division 2; Janelle (Laube) Lamar governs Division 3; and Lawrence Prak dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Empire Strikes Back will challenge 5th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 137). The Empire is expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Bowlumpkin is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 27&28, 7th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 116) will battle 1st-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. The Attack might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Schlitz ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Then, over on lanes 29&30, 4th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 128) will meet with 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon. Lil' Devils will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 3 Pin Moon will probably drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 31&32, 6th-place No Pinheads will compete against 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 138). The Pinheads are predicted to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while the Urban Achievers are anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Wilson earned this week's high game (233) and series (647). Read on for all the rest of the details!

Bowlumpkin leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Urban Achievers remain in 8th.

This was done rather often this week by people we wouldn't normally expect. On lanes 27 & 28: Lil' Devils tussled with The Prak Attack. Headlined by Andrea Caudillo with her above-average 443 series, Lil' Devils collected 3 wins against the Attack. While that was going down, Shane Pfaffly oversaw the Attack with his below-average 388 despite his team notching only a single win. Posted by BowlingBot On March - 2 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2010 Week 7 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2010 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (191) and series (534) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 252, and high series was earned by Bob Brunker with a 622. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz traded lane malfunctions with Lil' Devils. Blessed by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Bob Brunker and his breathtaking 622 series, the Schlitz celebrated a clean sweep over Lil' Devils. In the midst of this, Janelle (Laube) Lamar ruled Lil' Devils with her 380 despite her team getting swept. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz remains in 3rd place, while Lil' Devils plunge 2 spots to 7th.

week7On lanes 27 & 28: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers kept grabbing the balls of Empire Strikes Back. While headlined by Sarah Sauer with her 426 series, the Urban Achievers got swept by the Empire. On the other side, Carl Goetz called the shots for the Empire with his 593 as they swept the competition. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers drop 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Empire remains in 4th.

On lanes 29 & 30: The Prak Attack sparred with 3 Pin Moon. Showcasing Most Valuable Bowler Bill Riley and his dazzling 429 series, the Attack collected 3 wins against 3 Pin Moon. In the meantime, Ryan Doll guided 3 Pin Moon with his above-average 603 despite his team notching only a single win. The Prak Attack leaps 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while 3 Pin Moon sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: No Pinheads took turns kicking the ball return with Bowlumpkin. With top billing by Freda Schroeder with her 534 series, the Pinheads missed a clean sweep over Bowlumpkin by just one pin.Concurrently, Dave Winger oversaw Bowlumpkin with his stupendous 513 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. No Pinheads leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while Bowlumpkin remains in 6th.

Bowlers enjoying a guest admission to The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (217,222), Carl Goetz (203,203), Dennis Laube (211), Ken M. Wilson (205), Ryan Doll (252), and Scott Murdock (201)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Dave Winger (192, previous best 189). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Bob Brunker (622, previous best 616) and Dave Winger (513, previous best 512).

Adding to the excitement, the 252 rolled by Ryan Doll is this season's new high game for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Bob Brunker made quick work of Division 1, while Scott Murdock walloped Division 2. Dave Winger got the better of Division 3, and Lawrence Prak staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker tops Division 1; Scott Murdock holds the reins in Division 2; Greg Shelton reigns over Division 3; and Bill Riley dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 25&26, 1st-place No Pinheads will share a couple of pitchers with 2nd-place 3 Pin Moon (hcp 6). The Pinheads are expected to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 3 Pin Moon is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 27&28, 3rd-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz (hcp 56) will compete against 4th-place Empire Strikes Back. The Schlitz might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Empire ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 29&30, 5th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 34) will meet with 6th-place Bowlumpkin. The Attack will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while Bowlumpkin will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 31&32, 7th-place Lil' Devils will battle 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 8). Lil' Devils are predicted to perform well and win the series; while the Urban Achievers are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
