The fifteenth week of Fall 2008 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (200) and series (496) for the women, while Duncan Ferber earned this week's high game (232) and series (591) for the men. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Ain't No Sh!t waged a heated competition against Dios Mios. Despite being led by Duncan Ferber with his 591 series, Ain't No Sh!t accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. On the other half of the score sheet, Bill Krejci shined in Dios Mios with his 544 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lefty John Boren) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ain't No Sh!t remains in 2nd place, while Dios Mios remain in 3rd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Dave and the Wingers deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Livin' On A Spare. Demonstrating the prowess of Rob Kaszuba with his 451 series, the Wingers collected 3 wins against Livin' On A Spare. While that was going down, Tom Finley guided Livin' On A Spare with his below-average 340 despite his team notching only a single win. Dave and the Wingers remains in 8th place, while Livin' On A Spare remains in 9th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Is This Billable? matched wits with Bowl Movement. Despite the strength of Ryan Doll with his 536 series, Is This Billable? accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. Countering this, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Travis Kleiner showed off in Bowl Movement with his outstanding 567 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Is This Billable? plummets 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Bowl Movement jumps 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Chico's Bail Bonds took turns kicking the ball return with WWJB. With top billing by Ken M. Wilson with his 577 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against WWJB. In the midst of this, Justin Wehrman took the lead in WWJB with his below-average 393 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds remains in 1st place, while WWJB remains in 10th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Bad Newz Kennels traded lane malfunctions with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Blessed by Freda Schroeder with her 496 series, the Kennels collected 3 wins against Spare The Rod. On the adjacent lane, Janelle (Laube) Lamar drew the spotlight in Spare The Rod with her 385 despite her team notching only a single win. Bad Newz Kennels leap 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Spare The Rod plunges 2 spots to 6th.

A new
personal best series was rolled tonight by Travis Kleiner (567, previous best 562).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Bill Krejci came closest), while Dennis Laube conquered Division 2. Travis Kleiner creamed Division 3, and Amanda Zahnweh shut down Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment.

NEXT WEEK: - First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Chico's Bail Bonds (hcp 78) will challenge 2nd-place Ain't No Sh!t. Chico's are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Ain't No Sh!t is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they endure a rough night.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Dios Mios will tussle with 4th-place Bowl Movement (hcp 38). Dios Mios might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowl Movement ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels will face 6th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty (hcp 63). The Kennels will likely roll decently and win the series; while Spare The Rod will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Is This Billable? will battle 8th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 63). Is This Billable? might roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Wingers ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Livin' On A Spare will chuck some balls with 10th-place WWJB (hcp 4). Livin' On A Spare is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with WWJB; while WWJB is anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.

On lanes 21 & 22: Dios Mios kept grabbing the balls of Bowl Movement. Despite being led by Bill Krejci with his 539 series, Dios Mios accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. Conversely, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Carter Collins showed off in Bowl Movement with his terrific 532 as his team took the series with 3 wins.
