Fall 2008 Week 16 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2008 season draws to a close, with Chico's Bail Bonds officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (169) and series (501) for the women, while Kendall Kukowski earned this week's high game (236) and series (587) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chico's Bail Bonds couldn't stop inappropriately groping Ain't No Sh!t. With the strength of Ken M. Wilson with his below-average 506 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against Ain't No Sh!t. On the adjacent lane, Kendall Kukowski called the shots for Ain't No Sh!t with his 587 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds finish in 1st place, while Ain't No Sh!t cross the finish line in 2nd.

week16On lanes 21 & 22: Dios Mios entered a showdown to the death with Bowl Movement. Notwithstanding the leadership of Bill Krejci with his 539 series, Dios Mios accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. In the midst of this, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Carter Collins drew the spotlight in Bowl Movement with his fantastic 532 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Dios Mios complete in 3rd place, while Bowl Movement come out in 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Bad Newz Kennels traded lane malfunctions with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Even though highlighted by the skills of Freda Schroeder with her 501 series, the Kennels accomplished only 1 win against Spare The Rod. On the flipside, Will Jeter reigned supreme in Spare The Rod with his 473 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bad Newz Kennels drop 1 spot in the standings to close out in 6th place, while Spare The Rod moves 1 spot to end up with 5th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Is This Billable? took turns kicking the ball return with Dave and the Wingers. Regardless of the star power of Ryan Doll with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 392 series, Is This Billable? got swept by the Wingers. . With the Wingers forfeiting, all Is This Billable? needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. Is This Billable? end the season in 7th place, while the Wingers go home with 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Livin' On A Spare tussled with WWJB. Reinforced by Ben Lee with his above-average 359 series, Livin' On A Spare collected 3 wins against WWJB. . With WWJB forfeiting, all Livin' On A Spare needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. Livin' On A Spare 9th place, while WWJB 10th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (221), Cory Chorpenning (203), and Kendall Kukowski (236)

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Aubrey Moren (Division 2), with landing in second place. Aubrey will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!

Fall 2008 Week 15 Robo-RecapThe fifteenth week of Fall 2008 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (200) and series (496) for the women, while Duncan Ferber earned this week's high game (232) and series (591) for the men. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Ain't No Sh!t alternated between bowling and dry humping Dios Mios. In spite of the prowess of Duncan Ferber with his 591 series, Ain't No Sh!t accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. In the midst of this, Bill Krejci called the shots for Dios Mios with his 544 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lefty John Boren) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ain't No Sh!t remains in 2nd place, while Dios Mios remain in 3rd.

week15On lanes 21 & 22: Dave and the Wingers had some one-on-one time with Livin' On A Spare. With the strength of Rob Kaszuba with his 451 series, the Wingers collected 3 wins against Livin' On A Spare. On the flipside, Tom Finley took the lead in Livin' On A Spare with his below-average 340 despite his team notching only a single win. Dave and the Wingers remains in 8th place, while Livin' On A Spare remains in 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Is This Billable? shared a platter of cheese sticks with Bowl Movement. Although blessed by Ryan Doll with his 536 series, Is This Billable? accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. Concurrently, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Travis Kleiner guided Bowl Movement with his phenomenal 567 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Is This Billable? plummets 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Bowl Movement jumps 2 spots to 4th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Chico's Bail Bonds tussled with WWJB. Starring Ken M. Wilson with his 577 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against WWJB. Countering this, Justin Wehrman laid down the law in WWJB with his below-average 393 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds remains in 1st place, while WWJB remains in 10th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Bad Newz Kennels chucked gutter balls with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Showcasing Freda Schroeder with her 496 series, the Kennels collected 3 wins against Spare The Rod. In the meantime, Janelle (Laube) Lamar reigned supreme in Spare The Rod with her 385 despite her team notching only a single win. Bad Newz Kennels leap 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Spare The Rod plunges 2 spots to 6th.

Bowlers enjoying a guest admission to The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (214), Cory Chorpenning (206), Duncan Ferber (232), Freda Schroeder (200), Ken M. Wilson (213), Kendall Kukowski (200), and Travis Kleiner (204,212)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Travis Kleiner (567, previous best 562).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Bill Krejci came closest), while Dennis Laube whipped Division 2. Travis Kleiner cleaned up Division 3, and Amanda Zahnweh clobbered Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize! Division 1: Carl Goetz and Ryan Doll. Division 2: Aubrey Moren and Chris Lewis. Division 3: Carter Collins and Travis Kleiner. Division 4: Lindsay Jamis

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Chico's Bail Bonds (hcp 78) will tussle with 2nd-place Ain't No Sh!t. Chico's are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Ain't No Sh!t is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Dios Mios will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Bowl Movement (hcp 38). Dios Mios might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowl Movement ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels will roll against 6th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty (hcp 63). The Kennels will likely roll decently and win the series; while Spare The Rod will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Is This Billable? will chill with 8th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 63). Is This Billable? might roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Wingers ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Livin' On A Spare will throw some gutter balls with 10th-place WWJB (hcp 4). Livin' On A Spare is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with WWJB; while WWJB is anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
