The Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack alternated between bowling and dry humping Guttersluts. With the strength of Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. Conversely, Kris Hiestand guided the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack begins with 4th place, while the Guttersluts get rolling in 9th.

On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah kept stealing sips of beer from All Belts Are Off. Even though highlighted by the skills of Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. On the flipside, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding called the shots for the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah starts out in 6th place, while the Belt begins in 2nd.

On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins spent some quality time with TBD. Featuring Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. Concurrently, David Parre commanded TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins begins the season in 1st place, while TBD starts off with 10th.

On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl matched wits with Bowlkake2. Notwithstanding the leadership of Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. On the adjacent lane, Thomas Lin drew the spotlight in Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl gets underway in 7th place, while Bowlkake2 gets going with 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter shared a few beers with Split Happens. While headlined by Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. On the other half of the score sheet, Nick Allegri reigned supreme in Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 3 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 15&16, 7th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 49) will chuck some balls with 6th-place Hez-Bowl-lah. Manute Bowl is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
