Week 13 RoboRecap

Posted by BowlingBot April 19, 2022 Spring 2022, Week 13 View Score Sheets

Week 13 RoboHeaderA stagnated thirteenth week of Spring 2022 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (164) and series (444) for the women. As for the men, Seth Gunderson snagged this week's high game with a 247, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz and Seth Gunderson, who tied with a 635. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Glory Bowl found their destiny gripped in the icy hands of Splits & Giggles. With the strength of Kent Harms with his below-average 467 series, Glory collected 3 wins against Giggles. Meanwhile, JoAnne Barber with her better-than-normal 444 series called the shots for Giggles despite her team notching only a single win. Glory Bowl remains in 3rd place, while Giggles remain in 6th.

week13On lanes 3 & 4: In a matchup that could almost be considered unfair, the long-shots The Wally McWallingtons shared a few beers with the big bullies of ChuckaScoot. While headlined by Scott Murdock with his above-average 523 series, The McWallingtons got swept by Scoot Chuckers. As this was happening, Carl Goetz and #1 Power-Ranked Seth Gunderson with their duplicate 635 series propped up Scoot Chuckers (along with a major contribution by #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Jonathan Vigliaturo, as well as #1 Power Ranked Seth Gunderson) as they swept the competition. The Wally McWallingtons remains in 5th place, while Scoot Chuckers remain in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: With a battle so mismatched that the outcome could trigger the apocalypse, the mischievous Going, Going, BALD! alternated splits with the endearing Flamboyant Fluffykins. Topped by Dennis Walling with his above-average 581 series, Baldness earned a clean sweep over Flamboyant. In the meantime, Dustin Schmeltz with his better-than-normal 540 series motivated Flamboyant despite his team getting swept. Going, Going, BALD! remains in 2nd place, while Flamboyant remains in 4th.

Bowlers lounging at The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (213,231), Dennis Walling (213), Dustin Schmeltz (200), Jonathan Vigliaturo (214), Matthew Taylor (213), Scott Murdock (204), and Seth Gunderson (215,247)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by JoAnne Barber (444, previous best 438).

Adding to the excitement, the 444 rolled by JoAnne Barber is this season's new high series among women.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Jonathan Vigliaturo clobbered Division 1, while Dustin Schmeltz topped Division 2. Chris Windham whipped Division 3, and Clayton Burrow walloped Division 4. In terms of overall points: Matthew Taylor dominates Division 1; Dustin Schmeltz reigns over Division 2; JoAnne Barber runs the show in Division 3; and Brandon Martinez holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 2nd-place Going, Going, BALD! will tussle with 5th-place The Wally McWallingtons (hcp 94). Baldness are expected to roll a little low, yet still manage to sweep the series; while The McWallingtons are forecast to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Glory Bowl will chill with 4th-place Flamboyant Fluffykins (hcp 28). Glory might maintain their current strength as they just barely miss sweeping the series; while Flamboyant ought to hold steady as they just barely avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 1st-place ChuckaScoot will test their mettle against 6th-place Splits & Giggles (hcp 176). Scoot Chuckers are predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Giggles are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
