Posted by BowlingBot March 8, 2022 Spring 2022, Week 7 View Score Sheets

Week 7 RoboHeaderThe seventh week of Spring 2022 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (144) and series (399) for the women, while Matthew Taylor earned this week's high game (256) and series (680) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: In what amounted to a David vs Goliath situation, the good guys Glory Bowl alternated splits with the oppressive ChuckaScoot. Propelled by the skills of Kent Harms with his below-average 485 series, Glory collected 3 wins against Scoot Chuckers. On the other side of the tracks, Seth Gunderson with his 523 series inspired Scoot Chuckers despite his team notching only a single win. Glory Bowl drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Scoot Chuckers remain in 1st.

week7On lanes 3 & 4: Going, Going, BALD! kept stealing sips of beer from Splits & Giggles. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Matthew Taylor and his death-defying 680 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Ben Spencer, Baldness landed a clean sweep over Giggles. So what went on with the other team? Well, Michael Gordon with his 571 series emboldened Giggles despite his team getting swept. Going, Going, BALD! climbs 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Giggles remain in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: A well-matched pair of rivals gathered as Flamboyant Fluffykins kept grabbing the balls of The Wally McWallingtons. Starring Nathan Burrows with his 420 series, Flamboyant collected 3 wins against The McWallingtons. Moving on to the challengers, AJ Hofmann with his 466 series guided The McWallingtons despite his team notching only a single win. Flamboyant Fluffykins remains in 4th place, while The McWallingtons remain in 5th.

Bowlers who sneaked in through the employee entrance of The 200 Club include: Dennis Walling (212,208), Matthew Taylor (205,256,219), and Michael Gordon (202)

Matthew Taylor nabbed both high game and series for the men this season with his 256 and 680, respectively.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Matthew Taylor walloped Division 1, while Ben Spencer shut down Division 2. JoAnne Barber vanquished Division 3, and Emily Nicolet won Division 4. In terms of overall points: Matthew Taylor governs Division 1; Kent Harms holds the reins in Division 2; JoAnne Barber and Chris Windham call the shots in Division 3 in a tie; and Collin Lavery leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 2nd-place Going, Going, BALD! will hang out with 5th-place The Wally McWallingtons (hcp 122). Baldness are expected to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while The McWallingtons are forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Glory Bowl will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Flamboyant Fluffykins (hcp 44). Glory might perform well and sweep the series; while Flamboyant ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 1st-place ChuckaScoot will socialize with 6th-place Splits & Giggles (hcp 178). Scoot Chuckers are predicted to have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to sweep the series; while Giggles are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
