The first and second place teams swapped positions Tuesday.
NOTE: Firstly, I apologize for not having full-on bowling updates for the past two weeks.
Carter Collins was the Most Valuable Bowler on the 11th.
Secondly, the season's end is fastly approaching so please get caught up with any
outstanding payments you may have. Everything will need to be paid in by December 2nd,
including the remainder of the season's dues. Thank you!
NOV. 11th: STANDINGS ARE NOW ACCURATE.
With just a few weeks remaining, teams are making their final big pushes in preparation
for the Finals. Every win now not only counts toward standing but also for money from
the prize fund, which will be doled out on December 16th.
In his first appearance since Week #1, the namesake of Dave & The Wingers showed
up to bowl and apparently inspired the team. Taking a four game series win over
WWJB, behind Rob Kaszuba's 473 series, The Wingers improve their record
enough to push themselves out of ninth place and into eigth. Justin Wehrman
threw the top series for WWJB and ended the night with a 451. The team remains in
last place.
After their post-bowling scores were logged, Is This Billable? sent their
biggest invoice of the season yet at a high price to Dios Mios. Behind
Ryan Doll's 510 series, Billable stole the series outright and added four more
wins to their roster putting them into third place by total pin count. Mios' Bill
Krejci led his team with a 441 series in the losing effort, and settles in fourth place.
The last time that Spare the Rod, Split the Kitty pulled in a sub, they phoned
Jason Carpio. And, like last time, he delivered. Big time. Hoisting a
team-leading 611 series, Carpio led the team to a 4-0 crushing of their opponents -
Livin' On a Spare. The team improves their record and moves up to sixth place.
Spare's Tom Finley brought the top numbers for his team, ending with a 355.
Spare falls to ninth.
If there is any team that has been priming themselves for a standings upset lately,
it's Bowl Movement. With Carter having taken MVB honors last week, and them
handing out a 3-1 beating to reigning champs Bad Newz Kennels this week, this
is the team to watch in the final few weeks. Travis Kleiner led the team with
his 521 series en route to their matchup victory. Dennis "Pops" Laube led Bad
Newz with a 450 series. Movement moves into 5th place while Bad Newz slips to seventh.
The final matchup of the week once again pitted the top two teams in the league standings
against one another. And just like last time, Ain't No Shit failed to produce a
single win. Behind Ken M. Wilson's 584 series -- and an MVB
performance by Chris "Mutha @#$*%" Lewis, the members of
Chico's Bail Bonds moved into first place Tuesday night, taking a 1.5 game lead.
Cory Chorpenning, who led the team with a 641 series, provided the only highlight
for his team by shooting the second hightest game in league
history - a 286. Congrats, Corey!
Bowlers getting past the bouncers at The 200 Club this week
include: Jason Carpio (253), Cory Chorpenning (286), Travis Kleiner (208), Aubrey
Moren (207), and Ken M. Wilson (221).
See you next Tuesday!
